A Better Way to Navigate Midlife Health
Helping women feel like themselves again through thoughtful, personalized midlife care.
If you’ve ever been told “this is just part of getting older” while knowing deep down something wasn’t right, you’re not imagining things. For so many women in midlife, the experience is painfully familiar.
The system feels confusing, the advice is conflicting, and the solutions are vague or dismissive. After a while, guessing becomes exhausting and expensive, emotionally and financially.
If you’ve found yourself cycling through wellness trends, restrictive plans, miracle supplements, or appointments that leave you with more questions than answers, you’re not alone. The truth is, you’re not broken. You’ve simply been missing the kind of thoughtful, personalized support you deserve.
I’ve been where you are, and I found a better way.
My name is Leanne, and I’m a nurse practitioner, functional medicine specialist, and the founder of Maile Wellness, Trinity’s premier hormone health practice dedicated to supporting women in midlife with care, connection, and intention. Maile Wellness exists because I know firsthand how frustrating it is to feel “off” in your own body while being told everything looks normal.
Before I ever supported women professionally, I was dealing with my own unexplained symptoms like constant fatigue, stubborn weight gain, hormonal imbalance, and that unsettling feeling of being disconnected from my body and unsure where to turn for answers. Like many women, I was given surface-level answers and temporary fixes. None of them addressed what was really happening, so I started asking better questions.
After years of feeling dismissed and frustrated, I transformed my health from the inside out. Through hormone balance, peptide therapy, and sustainable lifestyle changes, I lost over 100 pounds and rebuilt my health in a way that finally felt aligned. Most importantly, I regained my energy, confidence, and sense of self.
That experience gave me firsthand insight into what it’s like to feel exhausted, stuck, and unheard. It also showed me the power of addressing root causes instead of chasing symptoms. Today, that lived experience informs every aspect of how I care for women at Maile Wellness.
What Makes Midlife Health So Complex
Midlife is not just about aging; it’s about transition. Hormonal shifts during perimenopause and menopause affect nearly every system in the body, influencing metabolism, sleep, stress resilience, weight, mood, cognitive clarity, inflammation, and overall energy levels.
Yet many women are still given outdated advice like:
Eat less and move more
Your labs are normal
This is just part of getting older
The reality is that “normal” lab ranges often miss early dysfunction, and one-size-fits-all recommendations ignore the complexity of the female body during hormonal transition. Midlife health requires nuance, personalization, and time. That’s where we come in.
At Maile Wellness, we believe healthcare should feel human, thoughtful, and unrushed. Our work is rooted in a few core principles:
Root-Cause Care Over Symptom Chasing | We don’t mask symptoms or offer temporary fixes. We look deeper to understand why your body is responding the way it is and address the drivers beneath the surface.
Personalized, Whole-Body Support | No two women experience midlife the same way. Your care plan is built around your unique hormones, metabolism, lifestyle, and goals.
Hormone-Aware, Lifestyle-Informed Care | Hormones do not exist in isolation. Stress, sleep, nutrition, movement, and life demands all matter. We consider the full picture.
Care That Feels Supportive, Not Rushed | We take the time to listen. To explain. To partner with you. You are never just a chart or a checklist.
This approach allows women to move out of confusion and into clarity.
Maile Wellness is designed for women in midlife who are ready for more than surface-level answers. Women who want to truly understand their bodies, value thoughtful, evidence-based care, and are done guessing their way through health decisions. If you’ve ever felt dismissed, overwhelmed by conflicting advice, or frustrated by approaches that never quite worked, you’re exactly where you belong.
